Hi, I’m Michelle — a photographer specialising in equestrian sports and editorial storytelling. With over 15 years of experience behind the lens, I’ve dedicated my career to capturing the connection, power, and emotion that define the equestrian world.
Based in Canterbury, on New Zealand’s South Island, I spend much of the summer months travelling across the country photographing major equestrian events. You’ll often find me ringside at shows like Horse of the Year, Takapoto Show Jumping, and of course all the major Canterbury events.
I’m proud to work year-round as an official photographer for Equestrian Sports New Zealand, Show Circuit magazine, Show Jumping Canterbury, and Eventing Canterbury. These ongoing media partnerships have given me a unique insight into what resonates with riders, sponsors, and audiences alike.
While my heart lies in show jumping and eventing, I also photograph a select number of showing and dressage competitions throughout the season. My deep understanding of equestrian sport, paired with years of creative and technical experience, allows me to produce imagery and media that truly connect — both in the arena and beyond it.
